Juicy barrel bag!
Hi everyone, as promised here’s this weekends blog post! Also thank you for all the views on my previous post, over 90 views which is insane! If you want to keep up to date, make sure to subscribe to my blog so you don’t miss out and follow my Instagram, @juicyblogz. As mentioned in the title, today’s post will be about my new juicy barrel bag (sorry no jewellery today!).
Now I first started collecting juicy couture charms, however as I’ve become more in love with the brand, it’s started to show in other ways! I’ve started to display some of my favourite pieces on this little round shelf in my bedroom which is perfect for my scotty dog bookends, heart shaped packaging and my favourite bag!
I found this bag on Vinted for just £10! At first I thought it was fake as I couldn’t see much online about this bag, as well as the seller also believing it was fake! Thankfully with some research it’s real and in perfect condition. This bag is navy with pink leather trim and a heavy gold chain handle. The side of the bag features a mini heart poem which says, “Once upon a time in a land far, far away called Pacoima there were two nice girls who set out to create the perfect girlie collection- Juicy couture Swooped the land & they lived happily ever after”. While trying to decipher the wording on the bag, I actually found that it was also a mini secret pocket, how cute! When buying barrel bags and avoiding fake ones, make sure to check that the writing is clear and neat as well as the strap being good quality! Unfortunately there are lots of these bags which aren’t fake so please be aware, another factor to consider would be the inside of the bag, this bag in particular has SHOP written on the inside pocket, it should be brown/black but not red otherwise it’s fake!
If you’re reading this blog and hoping for charms, this bag does actually have some. As seen in the picture this bag has two rather heavy charms attached to the zip, a J and a heart.
Now for the fun part, how old is this bag? While I was unable to find the exact years, this bag was made in the P&G era, which means it’s older and based on similar ones I’d say this bag came out in 2006!
From the picture below, this was a similar bag sold on Bloomingdale’s, with a retail price at $145! All credits from the screenshot go to: https://periwinklepackages.com/pages/juicy-couture-catalogs/2006-02-12-e
Anyways that’s all for today, definitely not my most interesting reading but could be helpful for anyone looking to buy a juicy bag! My next blog post will be next week (hopefully) and I have not yet decided what it may be on sorry! If anyone could follow or comment on my blog posts or follow my Instagram @juicyblogz I’d really appreciate it! Have a great week xx
